Born and raised in Indiana, I’ve emigrated from the Midwest and currently reside in Buffalo, New York. I do find it odd sometimes that Canada happens to be closer than the closest American city. Fun fact: I’ve always lived within three hours of a great lake.
My interests include a bit of everything. I greatly enjoy reading and prefer the sensation of a paper to a flat digital wonder, though I have to admit it’s more difficult to sit down with a book when all the information one could ever want for is online. Still, I have found ways to make time for the tactile word. I think it’s my voracity for reading that has led me to follow as many sites as I do; It’s important to have, at the least, a basic knowledge of world events and subjects of interest; even if it’s only for personal enlightenment. Besides, what has knowing the American Idol winner ever done for anyone?
I’m also a gadget geek. I think technology is fantastic and the potential to increase quality of life is invaluable, though it can sometimes be a fine line between useful and abusive.I’m an Android Fan girl and own a G1 running CyanogenMod; I really like the HTC designs and I’m hoping they make another qwerty I can upgrade to. I’ve never owned an Apple product.
My day job is in the health care sector, and in my spare time I share my thoughts here, among other things.
